When I went into the nursing home....they gave me another one...as I lost my Freestyle and this nursing home gave me one to use and I never get blood out of that one...so I get pay for another Freestyle Lancet for myself...and I use it on my leg...I put it on number 4 and use the top that use for the other parts of the body..not the top for the fingers..as all my fingers are bad on both hands as I use a stylus to type on my IPad 2 because of that. The only thing I do with this Lancet is push hard down on to my skin...have it on number 4 and push the button and look for my blood and take two of my fingers to help the blood to come out. You do have to find out where your blood vein are and place the Lancet and push down so you can see your skin is enter the lancet top...if that not working...then put the finger cap on the Device and try it on your finger tips..if you do that way..I would cut the number down on the device from 4 to maybe a 2...ok...hope it works for you...maybe you have to change the Lancet..put a new one into the Device and see if that help you out. **Q: Why does the freestyle lancet cost over 77.00 dollars?** A: Why this device cost $77.00 I do not know. It have four number to set it by..maybe it would be nice to have five numbers...it come with two type of covers to do your arm or leg and the other one is for your fingers...but my fingers are bad and anything that touch them hurt me..so I do my leg and that way..not one can see where I get the blood drops from. And the only thing i could wish for..that it come with more lancets to the package..come with only 10... On Amazon...100 lancets for this device cost less then $13.00 if I remember right. And that will last a long time.
