Review: Effective Larvicide - Highly recommend. This product works! This is a bioinsecticide. A Larvicide (Bacillus thuringiensis) or Bt, and acts on the larvae of insects. Very concentrated. Larvae eat the bacteria and essentially die. It has a short life but works very effectively to control mosquitoes and fungus gnat larvae. You need to use this product regularly to break the life cycles of gnats and mosquitoes as they constantly lay eggs that hatch into larvae. This product kills larvae only, not eggs or adult insects. I initially bought this product initially to control the fungus gnats in the peat moss and planting mixes that I used for my seed cell transplants. Most of these products are contaminated with fungus gnat eggs. To prevent gnats, I add a drop of Microbe Lift BMC to my water container each time I water. I grow indoors and did not have a single gnat flying around. I plan on using this product in my bird baths, fountains, flowerpots, and anything with standing water to help control misquotes in my yard.

**Q: Can this be used in a fogger/sprayer?  and will this kill benificial insects like lady bugs and bees?**
A: There would be no purpose to using it in a fogger or sprayer... it doesn't work on adult mosquitoes, it works on the larvae in water. You put it in ponds, fountains, etc.No, it does not affect ladybugs or bees... only the larvae of certain midges, including mosquitoes, that are growing in standing water.

**Q: Anyone know how this actually works? Does it stop the larave from eating or what. Thanks**
A: The bacteria utilized by this product, bacillus thuringiensis, feeds off of mosquito larvae.  With the bacteria eating the target insect at the larval stage it prevents the maturation into flyers.  Slowly but surely controlling/eradicating the problem.

**Q: How much do I put in a 50 gallon barrel?**
A: Mix 2.5 ml of product per 1000 gal.
or .125 ml per 50 gal.

**Q: Where is the expiration date on this bottle?**
A: There isn’t one, which to me is a little concerning.

This stuff WORKS!!! If you're having issues with gnats in your plants, let all your plants dry out and use some of this in your water the next time you water them. The gnats in my plants were gone in less than a week and not a single one of my plants was damaged by the chemicals, they are all still alive as of writing this and it has been about a month since usage. I couldn't be happier with the result I highly recommend
