Unless you get into the really big sprinklers the threads and everything are all the same. The Gilmore nozzles will fit the rainbirds. At least on the ones I have they interchange. I run a gasoline powered pump from the creek an try and put out as much water as possible. That is why I don't like the new rainbirds I bought. They turn entirely to fast. If the cheap plastic sprinlers have a screw in nozzle they will work and are probably a lot smaller. I have one I will try if you want to email me back later at geldreth@charter.net. I bought "Orbit 1/2-Inch Metal Ring Sprinkler Base 58030" they go well with it. These sprinklers worked well for me, they work the way sprinklers should work easy to adjust the angle and i get good water force (city water). This rain bird is highly efficient even on much lower water pressures than all of its brass brothers and the many clones on the market costing 30% more. The control valve systems are similar but far more smoother due to the lower weight on the sprinkler head. The plastic collar is of a much lower friction material than its brass brothers resulting in a highly efficient rain bird that'll satisfy nearly all the needs you have. I had both brass and another P5R Plastic Rainbird. I just retired the working and operating brass Rain Bird and gladly ordered and added another P5R Plastic Rain Bird Sprinkler which is much more efficient. They stand up to it and keep on putting out the spray and distance.
