The 100lb struts hold everything up with no effort on the way up. Pulling it back down takes more force than I expected, but that's probably my fault for going too heavy on the weight rating. Comes with mounting brackets, which made the install quick. If you're building a lift-up storage bed or any kind of hatch, these are a solid pick. Having the lift support made it so much better to hold up bottom of bed when getting into storage area under bed . Just a little push and it stays up to get into storage . The 15" struts fit good . Glides up and down easy, and does not bounce up when we are traveling down highway. The price was good and Honey likes how easy it is for her to get into the storage to get things in or out . Makes a Happy camper out of both of us .
