Does it stand up straight and not collapse?** A: yes the sides are very sturdy. Never worried about it collapsing **Q: Can you remove the inside file slots so that you have only a big square box?** A: yes - the file slot is removable - its attached with velcro so its easy to remove . We ordered 2 (one for each of our instructors) to carry material around to our instructional off sites. We love these. They are sturdy, they don't tip over like our previous ones did, and they hold a lot of things. There are side pockets to store smaller things like pens, pencils, markers, etc so it makes it very accessible to get to anything we need. **Q: Does the handle fully collapse? This is the best rolling cart that I have ever had and has held up well with the exception of 1 wheel which shed its rubber like a retread on a semi. I'm not even sure how it happened - but I ordered a replacement and when it arrived there is a attached card & sheet that says it has a 3 yr warranty. My old cart was 2 years old so I'm going to give the warranty a try. 2 years still is not bad for a cart that is used like mine is. Old cart - still looks good, zippers still work & handle still extends.
