Review: Reduces some sound - I put this product around the sides of my home's ERV (energy recovery ventilator). The ERV is loud and annoying. This sound deadening foam stuck to the metal sides of the ERV with no problem, was easy to measure and cut, and reduced the higher tones that were very annoying. The unit is by no means silent after having this foam mat applied, but this product definitely helped! If I were to order this again I'd get the thicker foam and more of it.
