I got mine from Amazon and it works great!! I do not use the knife as a foil cutter very often but it is fine! I prefer a separate foil cutter as the one in the cork screw is actually a knife that while very nice is very sharp and you could cut yourself if not careful! **Q: where is this made?** A: No idea Got as gifts Beautiful and quality built **Q: Will it open beer bottles?** A: Yes this wine opener does also have a beer bottle opener above the hinge.
