## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can someone describe the flavor? is it tart, sour, mild, buttery-flavored, etc? how does it compare to kefir or greek, bulgarian, and other yogurts?**
A: Buttermilk is creamy and tastes sour and tangy, it is similar to plain yogurts. True buttermilk is the liquid leftover from making butter, it is great as a replacement for cream or milk in any recipe.

**Q: Which different kinds of bacteria is found in this starter?**
A: I think you have to go to manufacturers web site.

**Q: How much milk is used per packet of culture?**
A: A quart. Then you save the other packet. You use a tablespoon of the buttermilk for the next batch.

**Q: Can this be used with raw milk?**
A: Yes, we make it with raw whole milk. Comes out great. Instructions say to heat milk to 190F first...cool yo room temp then add the starter...leave out st room temp for 24 hrs...then ready to use
