Please see instructions below: 1. To reach the Filter Life Reset function from the main display window, press the Menu key seven times. 2. Press and hold the Enter key until the flashing cursor appears. The first filter selection to appear is the PreMax Filter. Release the Enter key. 3. Press the triangle key to select the desired filter. The Filter Life LED for the appropriate filter is currently flashing red. 4. Press the Enter key to confirm that the selected filter has been replaced. 5. To re-confirm the filter change, press the Enter key. To exit the Filter Life Reset window, press the Menu key. 6. Upon successful reset of the filter life, the new remaining filter life (taking the currently selected fan speed into account) will be displayed, and the filter LED light on the control panel will change from red to green. **Q: Does this ship in plastic and styrofoam?** A: The filter have a tight plastic wrapping and goes into a very tight box and it go inside a second box. Love these air filters . They do help a lot in removing dust and allergens in the air. I like the sound of the fan blowing it’s not too loud just enough so it helps me sleep . I have tried the knock off’s and they work but not as well as the name brand. The name brand filter is better than putting up with all the vibrating and weird noises coming from the knock off’s. The filters are easy to pop in the tray the problem is getting the tray back in the machine. The IQAir does a great job of removing odor as we live in an area with many orchards and they like to burn their prunings which drive my allergies crazy. I recommend the name brand over the knock off.
