Like some other reviewers who have commented about the bad reviews, I believe the bad reviews are because the reviewer failed to realize what these are intended to do and how they work. They DO NOT work like this: (1)--<(2) where one RJ-45 router port is expected to communicate with two devices. They DO work like this: (2)>--<(2) where two RF-45 router ports are used to communicate with two devices via one cable. This kit works perfectly for me to attach two laptops to two ports on the router while using only one LAN cable under the carpet to the other side of the room from the router.
