Install was painless; I used the iFixit guide. The tri-lobe screwdriver was too small for the screw heads, really, but it worked and didn't tear them up, at least.Anything would have been an improvement, because my old battery was completely dead, like to the point that every time I bumped the power cable, the computer would die and I'd have to reset the clock when I rebooted it.This battery seems to be giving me plenty of time--it claims over five hours, although I've not fully tested it. It certainly seems to last quite a while. I haven't noticed any unusual behavior from my computer. No error messages or anything of the sort. I've already installed 2 Other World Computing SSDs (one in place of the failing disc drive bay) and now the pretty useless original Apple battery has been swapped out for this one.It works quite well. Even after conditioning the battery after installation, it took some time before it would charge fully up to 100%. It soon enough settled in and considering it's powering two drives and a large screen, it lasts well. Haven't tested the length of time but it feels good as compared to other laptops and the large iPad I use. The first 3-4 cycles were very short. I have ran it through about 8 cycles and now it is lasting much longer. I found that to get a full cycle for the best charge boot the MBP to the boot options screen by holding the option button at the sound of the boot up chime and just let it sit there until it dies then plug it back in and keep it completely off until fully charged.
