I wanted to be able to sit on the LYRA with head clearance. Doing this I ended up choosing the largest they had in stock (37"). Success! I am able to sit on the Lyra with no problems. It also allows more stretching room. I added Lyra tape to it and it works great. I will be using this Lyra for exercise on my weight loss journey. Lifting your body weight is a good way to gain strength and I highly recommend trying Lyra's as exercise devices. All components were very sturdy and well made. No complaints. FYI, If you are buying for a very small child this may not be right for you....Its diameter of its ring is thick. I consider this professional grade. A child will have trouble gripping. A teen should be able to grip it as I have small hands myself and I grip with no problems....but young child will have problems. The diameter taking a measuring string and measuring around it is 4 inches in diameter.
