The “product description says 4 different sampler bars” but I received one 3 oz bar of Ocumare. The outside box was somewhat crushed but chocolate good. I guess it’s a crapshoot which one they send you for $14.99.

I have written quite a lot of reviews of the chocolate bars that I purchased on Amazon.  These are good bars, deep in character and with rich tones and spicy after notes.  They just aren't exceptional.  As I have written in other reviews, I have tried a LOT to the "Gourmet", "Limited Edition", and "Special Reserve" chocolates.  They aren't bad by any means, but if I'm going to plunk down $10 (or more) per bar, I am expecting outstanding.  And so far in all my tastings I still prefer 2 bars that I can regularly buy at my local organic market (at about a third the price of these other bars).

Ordinary, can't rave over it... I was rather disappointed - thought that it would be spectacular. Saw the product being reviewed on a TV documentary and expected the sampler to contain some of the exotic additions. Instead, it highlights cocoa from varied areas... Perhaps my palate is not quite fine-tuned enough to thrill in the miniscule differences between the regions...  Not a good bang for my buck (or taste buds).
