I took them camping. I had them in case I got stuck longer than usual due to fires or whatever the hell else is going to happen in this apocalypse. I tried one just to see how they were but ended up nibbling a few more throughout my trip.I was anxious to get home and out of the desert so I didn't want to make any stops. One of these was my lunch on the side of the road. These were originally invented for storage in life boats and are Coast Guard approved. The lifespan is 5 years and will withstand up to 149 degree heat!! I store these in all my emergency gear esp my jeep as it can withstand Texas heat. Mayday also makes emergency food for your pets.These have a hard cake/cookie like texture with sort of a shortbread like taste. You will be bored after a few days eating this, but you will be alive.
