You just need to plug it in for its initial charge. Then you just push the button for the various vibration modes. I like it because you can just place it on an area and it does the work. For example, my hip muscles are tight, so I lay on the ground face down and put the ball underneath one hip (and then alternate) and just lay on it and watch TV. Same for my hamstrings.It's bigger than a baseball, but not quite as big as a softball. Hard rubber, so you can grip it well with your hands, but it doesn't stick to anything.Sometimes I accidentally hit the button when rolling it. And the heat feature hasn't worked for me.But overall, very nice to have. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well Worth It! *by R***D on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 11, 2019* This is a WONDERFUL contraption. It has multiple settings which go from gentle to deep massage and the heat function is fantastic. I suffer from chronic pain due to Ehler's Danlos Syndrome and the roller was recommended to me by another EDS patient, I will be passing that recommendation along! Using it on my hips and back gave me the best night of sleep I have had in longer than I can remember. Using it on my neck and shoulders made me feel like my brain could breathe (yes, I know that sounds weird) for the first time in ages! We liked it so much that we bought a second one to pass around the family and I called my mother and told her she should order one as well. I can't recommend it enough! (The charge lasts a long time too! I haven't had to recharge mine after the first day and I've used it daily for several days in a row.) ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not worth it.
