To determine if your setup will work with this derailleur you need to sum the differentials of the cogs, and the crankset. This is done by subtracting the number of teeth of the smallest cog from the largest cog. For example if you're running an 11-34 cassette you'd do the following; 34 - 11 = 23. Then you'd do the same for the crankset, so if you're running a compact it would be; 50 - 34 = 16. Next you sum the two results 23 + 16 = 39, and 39 is the maximum capacity of the RD-R7000 GS. Great pricing and fast shipping. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great with 40t cassette *by D***L on December 5, 2019* I love that these new 105 and Ultegra derailleurs work with the Shimano mtb 11-40 cassette that I run on my 2 road bikes. The b-screw isn't even all the way in and no WolfTooth link is needed. Combined with a 50/34 crankset, the lowest gear now allows me to maintain a higher cadence when climbing, which helps with both power output and fatigue.
