Waited until a dry day so as to not get any moisture in headlight assembly. There is a learning curve to the installation (or perhaps just my feeble mind) LOL! However, I started with the driver's side, as I didn't want to tackle the possible (passenger side) battery complication first! Removed the original (still after 230,000 thousand miles) halogen bulb (Wow!). Cleaned the boot well with hot soapy water, dryed, and treated it with rubber protectant. I tried to install new Xenon headlight bulb, but couldn't figure out how to get the holding bracket over the new assembly. Finally, it dawned on me (with examination) that the Xenon housing twists and separates. I was then able to install the bulb 'base' assembly with slots (lined up perfectly). But the boot? I wondered how to get it to go over the new assembly? Finally, it dawned on me that the boot goes on first, then slide bulb through the center, and twist the fan assembly-bulb into the base unit slightly to lock in. I coated the (2) red seals with a slight layer of silicon grease so they would slide in and seat better. There is no way to tell if the seals seat properly, as you can't visually see it once twisted in, hope so. After trial and error, probably more so me not comprehending the instructions, I did the passenger side very quickly. I turned on the headlights and listened, both fans running, both bulbs lit. Hope no adjustments are necessary. All and all, if I don't install them for you, it should take about 10 minutes or less per side. LOL! I have rebuilt 3 big block engines to perfection, you would think I would be sharper with new-fangled gadgets! Best to you all, hope you enjoy your upgrade. (One last tip, I keep my headlights polished with plexiglass polish, makes your headlights look really new and nice, and has to be done on a regular basis because of the intensity of the sun now-a-days. I have not seen these at night yet, we will see how they look tonight with the car idling (can't drive it as I have already had a couple margaritas!) ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Things to know before you buy these headlight lamps. *by L***A on Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2022* I bought two pairs of these for my 2006 Mazda3 hatch –– H7s for the headlamps, and 9005s for the high beams.First thing to know, the phone number for the company on the insert instructions was out of service, indicating this manufacturer is out of business, or this stock is so old they've moved and the forwarding phone number has expired. Doubtful - Amazon is selling off stock of a company that is out of biz. so no tech support, and likely no warrantee.The install of the 9005's was simple and only took a few minutes, they work well.The H7s did not fit. They were the right shape, but the 2006 mazda included an adapter that 1.sealed to the rubber gasket at the back of the bulb, and 2. adapted the socket to the plug in the wiring harness. The headlight bulbs in the mazda are retained by a spring clip. In the case of the 2006 the adapter provided the surface for the spring clip to press on, so without the adapter in place the spring clip simply could not retain the bulb - it was rattling around in the socket. I had to fabricate a spacer ring that would provide the additional thickness to retain the bulb. Additionally the rubber gasket will not fit over fan housing of these lamps, and so it had to be installed before the lamp was inserted by placing it in the middle of the lamp by removing the retaining ring. Lastly the adapter from the stock lamp still had to be used to connect to the wiring harness - which was a connection that was made to be inside the gasket and protected from weather. So now this connection is dangling off the LED lamps wire, and is fully exposed. I had some self sealing silicone tape and was able to wrap the connection.The bottom line is this lamp does not "Fit" the 2006 Mazda, and unless you are confident you can hack this in place to work you are in for nothing but frustration. Perhaps there is an adapter kit for the 2006 Mazda out there somewhere, but I'm not aware of it. I put my model and year in the Amazon compatibility interface and they told me that these fit, but they do not. Truth is Amazon has no idea what they are selling, nor is there somebody on the other end of your internet at Amazon that gives a shit. They are selling an orphaned product at full price and letting you and me swing. Find somewhere else to get your LED bulbs because you will have no idea what you are getting. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Bright, paper white color *by M***" on Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2020* The look is phenomenal. DEFINITELY an upgrade from the yellow halogen to a perfect "paper white" HID look.They are very bright. You may want to watch a YouTube video on how to install them since the printed instructions don't do it any justice. They are a TWO piece install. They're NOT as simple as the original lights. However, once you figure out one, the other is very easy. If you have daytime running lights (DRL), you should probably replace those too since it'll look a bit goofy with halogen DRL and LED headlights. That being said, you'll IMMEDIATELY notice the difference. I will say this, you may want to slightly re-aim downward your newly installed headlights as they are a bit bright and you don't want to be "that guy" with the blinding lights in someone's mirrors.
