I edit from the hard drive and have never experienced any lagging issues and its never been slow. Perfect! Many people I know have the more expensive ones however for this price you cannot fault this hard drive. It does the same as the more expensive ones and works great. Its silent, and I like the basic look of it. Fits nicely into my handbag and I haven't had any problems with the wire and I've had the hard drive for a few months now. Only thing I had to do was format it to work with Mac which was easy and took a few minutes.
