However, a couple months ago, I wanted to buy, and checked at two of the grocery stores I shop at. Horrors! They'd disappeared! No fortune cookies at all in one store. Some other brand at the other store. I didn't even bother to try those. I knew they wouldn't be as good.By chance, I decided to search on Amazon last week, and hallelujah, here they are. Bonus, I can get six boxes at a time, and with Prime, they're around the same price as in the stores. Maybe a few cents more expensive, but that's all. Not a problem. I ripped into a box as soon as I got them, and ahhh, yes. Fresh and crisp and tasty. My Umeya lust has been assuaged, along with my fear I'd never have them again. I probably won't ever buy local now, even if they reappear.(Btw, I'm 61. Definitely not a kid. I love these fortune cookies regardless.
