I just retired our rug and am set to purchase new after this review. But listen, our household contains two children (ages 9 and 2), a German Shepard and a Mini Schnauzer. And a husband. And this rug toughed it out like Muhammad Ali. It was sucker punched, had butts dragged across it (animal and baby human), was drove over with a Mercedes GL450 (big wheels), and probably absorbed things I don’t want to know about. But it prevailed. I only retired it to the garage because I’m too lazy to get a carpet cleaner. Besides, I could benefit from from a darker color (I purchased the grey but intend to purchase the navy this time around, not that you care or that this is relevant to the review). Anywho, I digress. When I removed the rug, the half that was under the couch still looked new. Sure, it’s not a luxuriously soft rug and does not have thick padding, but I added a rug mat and it served its purpose well. The kids and I love to run our fingers through the tendrils of the soft, luxurious rugs at Costco, but with all boys and two dogs, we can’t have nice things.This rug is perfect for high traffic areas. It’s easy to clean and vacuum, and at this price point, it’s a great feeling to know you got your money’s worth and can replace it without breaking the bank. I never encountered any tears or issues with it whatsoever.
