The top plate of the stand is 12" x 12", so if the base is less than 12x12, it will fit. I was also attracted to the fact that it is advertised as being able to place a speaker on top Even though I did not see any video reviews with a speaker on top. I use qsc K 12.2 for my top ends They weigh about 40 pounds each. This unit is also 40 pounds. Biggest concern was that the base play was not going to be big enough to support any movement once the speaker was placed on top. But it is advertised as being able to withstand over a 130 pounds. Set up time was about 5 to 10 minutes it takes some getting used to and some of your own fenagle link to figure out which is the easiest way to set it up. I found that setting it up on a table 1st is quicker and less taxing physically. Once you attach the base play to the 2 main supports on the table you can place it on the ground and fonish the top plate. It comes with both black-and-white scrim which is awesome. However the scrims are a little too long and there tends to be a lot of slack on either end. There is some adjusting involved to get that clean look. I use them once so far at a gig that was not formal so I decided to bring them and try them out. I used them for speaker stands and I was very impressed with how they held up, How sturdy they are, The clean look and how securely the speaker felt on the stand. No concern about somebody tripping over a tripod leg. It took me a little extra more time to set up and break down. Usually tripods come in one bag with this unit it's 4 bags and 2 trips to the truck. I'm disappointed in the design of the bags. I feel they should have separate compartments for the some screws and other hardware instead they will just fly around loosely in the carry bags. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase, I will be using them for formal to semi formal events and they definitely add a touch of class and elegance to any set up. I'll use them for speaker stands in tight work space and for movingsheads in a normal setting. If NovoPro reads this I'm hoping the redesign the bags.
