The resin bead will become dull over time and not retain the shine of the other glass beads in the mix. As a jewelry maker, I ONLY use glass beads and was very disappointed to see that they chose to package this kit this way. I originally intended to return this kit but found they DO identify the resin bead in the description, so read carefully when purchasing bead products.
