Time to see what was available and ordered this one. Got it...put it together (easy) and put it in place...perfectly provided the leverage to assist in getting up. I really like that it is easily folded and easily moved. Grips are comfortable to hold onto. Two things are a bit bothersome...the first is the toilet lid won’t stay open if you have a padded toilet seat. As the padded seat is a must, I first solved the problem using my alway on hand duct tape!! Because duct tape doesn’t add to the decor, I’m going to try some industrial strength Velcro strips! Secondly, at the base oh the unit where the plastic platform joins the two legs, there is a hard plastic with a squared off corner. Painful if your bare foot connects with it. I’m going to wrap it in something to minimize the squared off corner. I wish the designer would change this. It is an issue as you are getting up and shifting to transfer to the walker. The plastic foot piece is for stability, but when attached both front legs, the opening then is narrowed and restrictive. I found in our bathroom set up, the extra stability was not “needed, so I unattached it at one leg. Easy to reattach if needed! This is the most stable one that is not bolted... if the person using has the mind to put their feet on the foot rest. I chose this because I did not want my toilet destroyed from the kind that bolt to the toilet... and It is easy to take with us. Easy to take off the toilet for company... The most stable are the ones that bolt into your beams in the wall.. In my opinion, this is the most stable one that does not bolt to anything because of the plate. If the user Has one sided weakness... i would get one that bolts... **Q: Is this prodect made of tubular steel or aluminium?** A: The item is steel, per the magnet test. **Q: Can the height of the footrest be changed? Ca the footrest be raised up high to accommodate the length of my legs?** A: The foot rest rests on the floor intentionally. It cannot be raised, like a platform upon which someone could rest their feet. It can be ‘raised’ and flipped up out of the way if someone didn’t want it on the floor. I had concerns of it maybe being it the way or awkward somehow. It was used with no issues and was not a trip hazard. **Q: One of the grey soft cushioned on the top of the bars is tearing. Can I get a replacement?** A: Im not sure if a replacement is offered, if a replacement was available you may have difficulty with disassembly to slide the new one into place. You might make a trip to your local big box hardware store and check the electrical isle for the inventory of colored electrical tape. I did adjust the height of the armrests for our toilet, but that's very easy using the push buttons -- even with my arthritic hands. I very much like the stability of the armrests because of the way the footrest holds them together. I did spray adhesive to the bottom of the foot rest and attach anti-slip rubber mat because it moved just enough to make hubby feel he might slip. That totally fixed the problem. I highly recommend this item because it can be folded for travel! Here are the directions the seller sent at my request: Just above the button with the open groove, you'll find 2 more buttons. Press both at the same time and the arm will fold toward the center. Make sure the buttons are fully depressed or you'll have a hard time getting the arms to fold. Also, make sure to do one side at a time.
