He gets migraines if he doesn't protect his light blue eyes so and his other glasses kept slipping off (or he would mess with them). These glasses are dark enough to use in full sun and the fit is perfect from the 7-10 range. The snap on elastic stays out of the way but keeps the glasses from slipping off. Best of all, I STEPPED on them, and they just bent and went back to business as usual. If he got hit in the face by the ball or an elbow, it would still hurt, but the glasses wouldn't break and he'd probably walk away with a bruise instead of cuts and gashes. Some referees don't allow them but when they do, these glasses are perfect. We'll be hanging on to them for baseball in the spring, and then for the swimming pool in the summer!
