It says 14 to 16 years and is described as “adult”. My granddaughter is almost 8 years old and wears a kids size 14/16 in pants/jeans and these fit perfectly. So I think the sizing is right but they just worded it incorrectly. We’ve had two pool accidents wearing this and nothing leaked out. Absolutely nothing. We did remove her from the pool the second we discovered it but I was thrilled there was no leakage. DO NOT let it sit even if you wash it out because the smell will linger. After the first accident I had to wash these 4-5 times and finally had to use bleach to get the smell out. We were on vaca so I think the washing machine in the condo wasn’t that great but ended up having to bleach once we were home. They look so cute on her and they cover up the swim diapers very well.
