The gradient colored blue is very elegant that you find in more expensive brands. The interior enamel is nice and smooth in traditional cream color. The weight of the pot is as expected, but the weight of the lid is disproportionally heavy for it's size. I wished the lid was 1/2 the weight, which would be what I've experience on other 5 qt models in different brands. The extra weight of the lid doesn't seal any better as steam still escapes over the edges of the lid to relieve pressure. The oven works as expected with even heating and even browning and consistent fond development. This pot is very versatile for stove top to oven. Oven baking for slow braise or bread baking provides excellent results. Very tender pot roasts and even browning on sourdough bread loaves. Cleaning with initial soak and sponge wipes off debris easily.
