Review: My favorite - Best climate change book I have ever read. It's fact-driven, analytical, functional, clear, and easy to read. It answers all my questions and I ask the weirdest questions about climatology and climate change. Would recommend for educators, debaters, "skeptics", and scientists alike.
Review: Reality for AGW denialists. - It's a good account of why there's a consensus of 97% of climate scientists that human activities are largely responsible for the current global warming, with 90% confidence. It's not perfect - there's no references or recommended extra reading (not necessarily a bad thing - Ian Plimer in 'Heaven and Earth' managed to cite 2000+ references many of which he got wrong or were irrelevant). It's a book I think I'll be rereading, at least in part. A lot of it is just common sense, such as the ways of reducing one's energy use, such as using power meters to detect electricity guzzlers (it's reassuring for me to know that my LED television, amplifier and DVD player on standby uses just 1.7 Watts of power, so there's little point switching them off at the wall).

This book is well written, balanced, and comprehensive. It covers the subject from pretty much every angle -- the science, the politics, what you can do on a personal level. As someone new to climate activism, it was exactly the kind of book I was looking for.
