The net inlet funnels that allow the crabs to enter are permanently connected to each other, which would require reaching in and removing the crabs one at a time. A simple solution was to replace the existing cords with a two piece cords with a 'Paracord Planet side release buckle - 5 mm diameter' in the center. I did this to the 17 traps I purchased. The buckles can be released, freeing the inlet funnels. Then turn the trap vertically and shake the crabs out.
