Mine did not come with instructions and I cannot get the light socket onto the body of the lamp.** A: I’m not sure I understand your question. The socket was attached into the lamp. If it weee loose, you would pull the cord from the bottom and secure it with the bottom washer. The harp, which holds the shade is attached differently. It is beautiful and the shade was included. **Q: What is the wattage?** A: 100 watts **Q: What is the measurement of the actual lamp? Just the porcelain-not the shade. Thanks** A: The porcelain part, which includes the wooden base is about 11 inches. The shade itself is about 11 inches. The entire lamp from the wooden base to the top of the round finial is about 24 and half inches. Beautiful lamp. I've had my faith restored in online shopping due to this beautiful addition to my home. From the well finished base , hand painted design ,to the elegant shade with finial, I' couldn't be more pleased. The delivery was prompt, the lamp was carefully packaged, and the minimal assembly was user-friendly. Perfect width and height as they did not take up much space. The floral pattern is exactly as pictured and had a lovely shape. Beautiful contrasting blue and white colors on the body, with a matching finial and ivory linen shade. It required some assembly but did not come with instructions. The light socket came wrapped in foam and not secured onto the body of the lamp. I didn't know how to put it together so I called East Enterprises. The lovely lady who answered the phone was very helpful. First, remove the little white plastic piece on the cord, then pull the cord from the bottom until the light socket is fitted onto the body, and then turn to screw it firmly onto the body. Next, unscrew the finial and press the 2 prongs to fit onto the brackets attached to either side of the light socket. Put the lampshade on and screw the finial over the little hole on top. Once she explained it, it took only a few minutes. The shade is very classy. The only slight issue I had was that one foot was missing it's felt pad and the lamp doesn't sit perfectly even. I need to get new felt pads for the little feet.
