My husband was walking in the rain, with his new shoes on, I was so glad we had this. Once they were set on here, the water started to drip off them, so they were quite wet. I am not sure how long it took them to dry, but when we got up, they were dry even at the toe. I put my gloves on to warm them up before going into the cold, and it was nice to have a set preheated. I am going to try this out with putting my coat on next, I think it could dry out a wet coat just as well. I ran over and tossed my shoes on there as well, not that they were wet, but going out into the cold, it was nice to have a nice to have them warmed up before going out into the cold. It puts out enough flow to dry boots and gloves in about two hours or so. It is a bit loud but not intolerable. I don't think it takes up very much space. The heat level is good without getting too hot.
