According to "Lymphedema & Lipedema Nutrition Guide" by Ehrlich, Iker, Herbst, et al, reishi reduces fat cell growth and fat cell storage, which is wonderful for sufferers of lymphedema but especially so for those of us that live with lipedema. In the short time I've been taking reishi, I have noticed a definite shrinkage in the pockets of lipedema on my hips and thighs, but also an all over reduction. Looks like I'll be using it for quite a while! Update: 3 months into using reishi as well as other supplements and I am getting reduction of my lymphedema areas almost as I watch. Something else to consider: one of my caregivers has started taking reishi to lower her blood sugar and blood pressure...she is dropping numbers on both. Her hubs also has diabetes, she gave him a bottle to take as he works out of state...he called to say get another bottle, his blood sugar levels are dropping and he has so much energy! Then I tried a really expensive brand (can't remember name). Lastly I tried this one. I started taking reshi for acne. I discovered that I didn't get sick as much or stay sick as long. This brand has been the best for my acne.
