It’s not a ‘flecked’ color, but it’s blended so nice that you don’t get a solid color look. If I spilled something on it, I imagine it would clean up nicely and not spot. It hides little specks of debri, so it doesn’t have to be vacuumed every day like my old rug, so that’s a plus as well.As a Prime member, I buy a LOT of stuff from amazon. The reason for 2 stars is that I have had it for a month and a half and already have to replace it. Partly because I have a puppy, but also because it is impossible to clean. The backing turns into a white powder and falls apart if it gets wet. Even if just from a bit of spilled water. I tried to clean the rug, and the backing turned to white powder that continually came out from under it and it was almost impossible to keep sweeping up. My curious puppy tries to lick the powder so I had to get rid of the rug entirely, plus I wanted to rid of it just because it is so hard to clean. Hopefully the powder is not toxic because as much as I tried to clean, it is such a fine powder I seem to keep finding it everywhere. I am attaching a photo of the powder I swept up after rolling up the rug next to a dust pan, as you can see that is a significant amount. That is not the first time I have tried to sweep it up, so there was more than double this on my floor after only a month and a half. The rug was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing value. Perfect for us *by H***Y on Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2016* I absolutely love this. Yes, it's a piece of carpet with the edges bound (as some negative reviews stated). Its also 160 bucks for 9x12, so you can't expect top shelf. It's perfect for the value. I have a toddler and two dogs and would never spend a ton on a rug. I also use my robotic vacuum religiously to control dirt and dog hair, so a low pile is a must for me (the vacuum gets stuck on shag type rugs). This rug is exactly what I needed. It's huge and cheap and the Neato vacuum just cleaned it up with no problem. I'm fairly certain I will be buying more for our playroom and family room.
