## Description

Quickly convert the top of your vehicle into a cargo carrier with the Apex steel universal telescoping strap-attached roof crossbars. Compatible with most cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs, these universal crossbars install in minutes and easily adjust for use on multiple vehicles. Review: Great rack if your mechanical inclined. - Very sturdy bars much better than expected. Used two of my Huskey ratchet straps over the ones it came with. Went together in about 15mins first setup. Once together should come on and off in couple minutes. Boots are slightly shaped so pay attention this is very important to them staying on the rack. If installed correctly rack works great. Very sturdy and very affordable option if you only need racks occasionally.
Review: Good value for the price - I am happy with this product as a solution to a lack of a roof rack on my older car (1997). These cross bars are very sturdy and easily hold the weight of my 71 lbs 8 ft row boat. I bought them so I would have something to set my boat on because I didn't want to set it on my bare roof. I attached the cross bars to my car's bare roof and then attached the row boat to the car - the boat easily rested (upside down) on the crossbars. I then went for a very short test drive - 3-4 blocks - to see if everything stayed in place - and it did except for one of the rubber caps that go on the end of the cross bars which fell off somewhere & I didn't notice it gone until the next day. These caps would not stay on and there was really no way to make them fit tighter but they don't affect the functionality of the cross bars. A couple things that were less than perfect: I did not realize until I assembled the cross bars that the telescoping feature is limited to where there are pre-drilled holes which is probably fine for most situations however I would like them an inch wider than where I have them set now but the next increment is more like 3 inches wider. Also, the feet that attach to the bottom of the 4 towers don't stay attached once they are off the car roof; and on the car roof they really slid around even after cleaning the roof and tightening the strap to the max. However for my purposed it didn't matter because I attached the boat to my car front and rear and around the middle with separate straps.

**Q: I don't have ay cross bars on my dodge but i'm looking for something that i can use would this be a good choice?**
A: No cross bars needed. Strap loops around roof of vehicle and fastens together inside car or truck. Measure roof width to make sure these are wide enough.

**Q: can this fit scion xb?**
A: As long as your roof is at least 44 inches wide it will work. It's telescoping, which means it's opens to different widths.I added an additional hole just to add more boats, I can carry five now. My only recommendation is that you glue the rubber feet pads on permanently or with hot glue to the plastic foot. If not the tend to slip off and you can loose one or damage your car if you don't notice it.I used black sheet foam and glued to every foot after I lost one.Hope this helps.

**Q: Are the mounts at a fixed distance from the edges or can you telescope the bars further out on the sides to have a wider wingspan?**
A: this rack worked for my application I have A HIGH TOP CONVERSION VAN yhat I wanted to carry a canoe on the rubber shoes that are on it are very thin and come off easily you have to make sure they are in place when you secure fully extended it is flimsy if you wanted to move the mounts out you could drill some different holes but I wouldn't recommend it if you use the straps though window to secure it may not work well I used another rack mount that clipped to my drip edge so I could tighten it down good

Very sturdy bars much better than expected. Used two of my Huskey ratchet straps over the ones it came with. Went together in about 15mins first setup. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good product, when using your own ratchet straps only

I purchased this product when I made a move 2,000 miles across the country. I needed extra space for my belongings so I purchased this rack for my roof top carrier. First, you get what you pay for with this product...it is cheaper than many other options out there for a reason. My biggest complaint about this product is that the straps that come with it are basically useless. They are gator strap clips, which are not secure enough to hold the bars in place, the straps just pull through the clip with just the slightest tug. Thankfully, I had two ratchet straps that I was able to thread through the footplates and secure in my car. With those, the bars didn't budge once across the whole trip and I never had to readjust the system. So bottom line, the bars work well - but plan on using ratchet straps purchased on your own (from your local Home Depot/Lowes). Without this extra piece, you won't get very far.
