Took a bit to figure out how to assemble them. The sliding isn't the smoothest but overall they work fine. Everyone that has seen them really like them. It's been nearly a year and these are not to be used if you have life in the house. They do not slide, they get caught easily. They wore down very quickly. The hardware is just not for a house with children and animals if you live alone and rarely go outside, you might like these. Otherwise, they aren't as practical over time.Original review:::I love these sliding blinds! I'm not very handy and so it did take my longer to put these up myself, about 2 hours. But someone who knows what they're doing and has the correct tools would've taken 20 or 30 min to assemble. I live in sunny Arizona and this is not black out or thermal shade, but definitely provides privacy and does block out quite a bit of the light. Looks so much better and more classy than typical vertical blinds. They do get caught when pulling them closed where the two sections connect in the middle of the bar. (Yeah my hardware vocabulary is also minimal.)
