This King Edward VIII Abdication 1936 Crown Coin & Stamp Present Display Gift Set features a mint condition commemorative crown coin and stamp, elegantly encased in a protective display case measuring approximately 173mm x 121mm x 8mm. A perfect collectible or gift for history enthusiasts and royal memorabilia collectors.

## Description

The world wide sensation caused by the abdication of the British and Empire throne by Edward VIII in 1936 is difficult to appreciate over seventy years later. Edward abdicated the throne to marry the woman he loved. The display contains a medallic pattern crown (no coins were issued for circulation for Edward VIII) plus the four short lived, but complete set, of Edward VIII British postage stamps (these were issued before the abdication but withdrawn shortly afterwards). The medallion is in uncirculated condition (struck in cupro-nickel, 37mm in diameter - this coin is a modern re-strike, it was not struck in 1936) and the four stamps are in mint condition as issued. Our manufacturing process is a precision laser cutting method to create holes in which the coins can be inserted: thus holding securely in position without harming them.
