The card is tiny and came well boxed but with little instuctions. Youtube is a wonderful thing and shout out to Tyler Miller for a easy to follow guide. Once I researched the process then removing the back of my XPS replacing this was simple. Remember to power off and you can remove the battery connection but if you are careful it isn't necessary. Beware of the antenna connections they need care removing (they just pull off). Once removed the old card can be safely slid out and the new Intel card fits snugly. Replacing the antenna needs a small pair of pliers to squeeze down to firmly seat the antenna plugs. Re attach the guard plate and screws put back on and away you go. Laptop (Windows 10) rebooted detected the card and was working out of the box. Bluetooth and WiFi now reliable, stable and didn't need Intel drivers but you can if you want the control app. DELL should hang their head in shame for not fitting these as standard. Don't forget to remove the old Killer software. Definitely an excellent buy and at this price was a bargain. For over a year I had problems with connections, WiFi instability and I had no idea whst is going on... Some friendly soul, have opened the shell, looked onto it and reported what have been " done " so we agreed that it has to be be replaced asap. After one attempt where I've ordered same exact model of WiFi the replacement was unsuccesfull because new WiFi seemed to be a cheap chineese copy of the original one. Simply Windows couldn't start new device on same exact drivers. Friendly soul gave me sn Idea that this new model of Wireless AC 9260 will be the best choice and it will work even better snd faster. I was worried because I wanted to keep original spec of this laptop. But finally I've decided to give it a go. Quick buy, quick delivery, quick replacement, Windows added new drivers automatically. New WiFi works now like a gold, super stable connections, low pings, supper happy about that choice. <3 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Great in Dell XPS 9560 - But SWAP THE CABLES *by L***E on 1 December 2020* I bought this to replace the burning train wreck that is the Killer 1535 included in my XPS 9560. I'm not sure what Dell was thinking there, as the Killer chip boasted frequent disconnects for no apparent reason and completely ignored manual roaming aggressiveness rules, choosing to hop WiFi to some public network whenever it feels like it. An example of this is when you're tethering WiFi from your phone whilst on the train. If you go through a tunnel for more than 20 seconds, the Killer chip will decide to DISCONNECT even if it's managed to establish a working connection again! Anywho, this Intel chip was relatively easy to install. The only note is that Dell has the cable colours wrong so you'll want to swap round the antenna cable colours that the chip asks for. i..e Use BLACK for Main and use WHITE for Aux. Upload bandwidth over WiFi is significantly improved compared to the Killer chip. I can upload big files to my NAS over WiFi from the other side of the house now at 60 MBps (Yes, MegaBYTES). The Killer only did about 35 Mbps. Also, no driver install was necessary.
