Water drains through, but does not let the smell out if the drain trap is dry. **Q: Will the 3 inch sure seal fit into a three inch PVC fitting hub? Does it require glueing?** A: It will fit into a 3" pvc pipe, May be undersized for a pvc fitting. No need to glue, it has rubber gaskets on the side to keep it in place.
