My main gripe is that this is simply not a slim fit. I have a closet full of slim fitting shirts and this is the same size as my regular fit shirts. There is also excess fabric on the arms, so if you have the cuffs buttoned it looks kind of like those old timey shirts with really baggy arms and tight wrists. I did get a few compliments on the shirt the first time I wore it (it is nice LOOKING, I’m complaining about the fit) but I don’t think anyone noticed the fit because I roll my sleeves up while working. I think shirt manufacturers just slap “slim fit” on shirts because it’s popular now, without actually changing the measurements. So all in all, I recommend this shirt, but if you’re wanting it to actually fit like a slim, size down. And be prepared for weird looking arms if you don’t roll up the sleeves.I should add, there are a lot of reviews saying this shirt was too small for them. Look at what size they ordered before accepting their opinion, a slim fit medium for someone that is 150-160 lbs is much different than an XXL for someone that is like 250. Most of the reviews I see saying this shirt is small are written by larger people. I am actually slim (6’2”, 150 lbs) and can assure you that this shirt is much bigger and boxier than it appears in the picture. Also, look at the arms in the reviewer photos, you can see what I’m talking about with the excess fabric.Edit to add that the fitting issues aside, I’ve received at least one compliment every single time I’ve worn this shirt, which was unexpected. I ordered an XXL to be safe, but I ended up just cutting the sleeves off to make it a sleeveless vest situation because the length/torso was too short. It’ll make for a good layering addition. The sleeve length was okay - reached all the way down to my hands the way a long sleeve shirt should.I personally like my flannels to have some girthy’ness to them, but this shirt is very lightweight. Feels a little cheap in my opinion.If you’re under 6ft tall and/or don’t mind your shirts hitting right around your belt line, you might like this. If you’re of average build, or skinny - you probably don’t need to size up.
