*by F***Z on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 29, 2015* My order was for model: UC-3P10WI guess I was SPOILED by my cheapie E-Z Up canopy...Let me warn you now: this thing is NOT compact!Yes, it does say 62-inches "for easy storage"...Yes, it does say "65...inches" on the Product Dimensions...Yes, it's my fault for not comprehending all the details, but with phrases like "easy storage" and "ease-of-transport"...Then you've got this sentence: "Women and senior users in particular tell us they absolutely love this shade."I'm 6' and easily over 200lbs., and I cannot see an elderly or "women" handling this easily?!?!This one tops the cake: "backpack ready wheel-bag"Since when backpacks were FIVE FEET LONG???I'm no midget - see above - and I found the canopy packed in it's "bag" to be cumbersome at best!You really need a truck to haul this thing around!My Toyota sedan will NOT be able to transport this at all; at least my cheapie E-Z Up compacted down to 3 - 4 feet, so it fit ACROSS my rear seats which can accommodate up to 4-feet across, or dump it ACROSS my trunk.I measure this canopy in it's bag as 9-inches square and a smidgen (~2 inches) over 5-feet in length!Yes, the bag does have integral "backpack straps" sewn into it, but you like you're hauling a coffin!Most hatchbacks - even with the rear seats folded down cannot handle this length...This is primarily why I took off a whole star.Another minor point is that the holes for the "stops" were pretty rough; it would've been nice if they could've finished the holes better.In fact, some of my holes still had the plugs inside the square tubing, so it looks like they used a punch?I chamfered the holes myself with a drill, and the stops worked a whole lot better.I wished they could've used smaller holes, as I could see the stress marks on the walls of the square tubing; I'm sure this is where the legs would eventually fail as a weak spot.The canopy is a shade - you can easily see the pinhole spots in daylight.If you want waterproof, use 3M Scotchguard, Thompsons Water Seal, or equivalent - it's not going to stop rain.When I first removed the canopy, there was one large spring covered in a brittle plastic wrap.No where in the instructions ("UC-3 User Handbook") was this spring mentioned.I figured out that you remove the brittle plastic wrap and stuff it inside the "Peak Pole" - which is the center pole, which is technically two nest square tubes, top and bottomEven with all of that, it is worth the ~$200 if you're tired of the cheapie canopies that you can get under $100, IF you can deal with the 5-foot length!The aluminum tubes should hold up better and does shed a lot of weight.For those wondering about dimensions...This thing stand very tall, with the canopy almost 1/3rd of it's total height.At it's lowest setting (of 3), I get 68" of clearance in the corners - the centers of each side is actually 2.5" more clearance!I measured the canopy corners at 16.5" inches from the horizontal seam, which the centers was only 14.0", so it's a slight curve.This is hard to tell from some of the pics, as the canopy overhang looks even across.The adjustment holes are 5" apart from center-to-center.As I said before, I'm 6", so I graze the corner edges on it's lowest setting, but barely clear (68" + 5" = 73" or 6'1") at the middle setting.Set at the highest, and it feels like a cathedral ceiling at 78" of clearance in the corners - that's a 6 and a half feet!To the lady with the 6'4" husband...he should have no problem with the canopy set at it's highest.The description does state: "Head Clearance 72” up to 82”", but I find that optimistic...Surprisingly, the lowest point of the canopy is not the corners - it's the center adjust knob on the center pole, by an inch or two. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost Perfect--One Critical Item To Know *by B***T on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 29, 2014* This canopy is built to last and in fact, I ordered the mesh white inserts from the vendor which fit perfectly using zippers provided you straighten the legs almost vertical (you need to use guy line attachments for winds...but you knew that). I wish I had known how taught you need to keep it from preventing water (rain) from creating a huge bulge thereby stretching out the fabric. Fix: When you attach the corners to the velcro, make sure you pull down as much as you can on them before rotating the bar to stretch the canopy even tighter.I also obtained the walls (not just) mesh but only used one on the outside of the four mesh units to protect privacy and sun--they are just as well built but not sure if they can be zipped in to intersect with the mesh but assume they can be. ### ⭐⭐ Difficult setup *by B***H on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 3, 2015* It is not an easy one person set up.Very difficult to raise.
