Not knowing the difference and/or the orange-themed home center not carrying the "midway-sized" plastic wallplates, I purchased the cheap nylon ones. I really liked the old ones but just caulked it up that these are what they make now. Fast-forward to today. Installing smart switches and decided to "google" plastic Levition wallplates and found out they still make them! Pros: These plates are white-white. They look super clean - so much better over the nylon plates. I guess over the years, the nylon plates slowly started turning a light ivory color. Plus, inside the screw heads are all white unlike the nylon plate screws. Cons: These are crazy expensive compared to nylon plates. Maybe I should have shopped around more?
