Heartbreak has been Alys's dance partner for years, but she is done. Love is a complication she no longer wants, especially from a rock star. If there is something about Ryan, maybe it is his charming determination to get past Alys's defences. He creeps into her heart and her head until she is so wound up in him there is only one way it can possibly end. -- I loved Ryan. He was kind, sincere, and romantic. Alys was untrustworthy because of being hurt too many times in the past. Her best friend, Emily, is feisty and fun. Ryan's band members were interesting characters.
