The only homework his teacher gives is handwriting practice once a week, so I tear out a pages and will include one ( front and back) in his class folder to do in after care maybe twice a week, according to what they're working on in class. His teacher saw some and loved them and his aftercare counselors will help him out when needed. The lessons are clear and easy to understand, as far as math word problems anyhow... The book is thin, about 60 pages, but well illustrated, very good quality and page thickness. Best of all, PERFORATED! That is a huge plus when you're in a rush. I bought this book and it is 100% perfect for reviewing all of the concepts at our pace until I knew she understood it. And boy did I see the lightbulb go on! This child now grabs her math book eager to do it, and I could barely get her to do flashcards. That speaks volumes to me. Yes, it’s basic concepts but if your child needs to get a firm grasp on them, this is a fantastic tool! I am so pleased to see her so happy at learning math! They don’t overdo the concepts just enough pages to make sure she gets it. I am excited to do it with her.
