The teeth section of the comb is 3". Closed it is 3 5/8" long. Width across back is 1/4". From the bottom of the teeth to the top of that section is 9/16"; closed it is 1" wide. I just got it and I cant figure it out LOL** A: At first its a little tight, but it should go down, We had a slight problem doing it as well, but realized it was just hard to do. it should just fold down with the teeth on the inside.
