If you're a beginner at sketching/drawing, this will just be really frustrating, like those how-to guides that are like : first, draw a circle and a triangle, next, add small details, and now you have the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel!If you're a novice like me, though, you should have fun. I haven't had art classes since high school, so while my drawing is fair-to-middling, I don't know color theory or whatever artists need to know in order to make things appear to have depth when colored (yellow highlights! who knew?!). This book has all that stuff, which has been helpful to me, even outside the pictures within.Short version: If you can draw okish but want guidance on colored pencil work, knock yourself out, it's a ton of fun.
