These would not work if a person were overly muscular or had an overly large upper arm, however. As far as the shipping is concerned, I ordered these on Monday, they arrived on Wednesday, and the dance was on Friday. I am very pleased with the speed of shipping and packaging as well. With the addition of a tighter elastic they can get as high as in the picture, but otherwise they seemed to barely stay up past my elbow. I'd say I'm an average sized woman, so I was just surprised they were so loose for a product from overseas, since most other things are usually tight. If you have larger arms, these might fit better for you.
