Literally never saw another yellow jacket after that…and they were coming in and out of the nest about every 2-5 seconds the day before. That was last summer, have never seen another one since. It barely used any product. This stuff is worth it’s weight in gold…it kills anything on contact, even angry red wasps on nests. I don't remember if there was a tab on the top of the sprayer, but it is small. Just remove it and spray. But every day it was swarming with yellow jackets coming and going with very little change in activity. So I did more research and found Stryker 54. I treated the main entrances that evening and I did seem to anger a small group of them doing that but none stung me and there was NOTHING the next day. I treated it one more time the following evening for good measure but I haven't seen a single yellow jacket enter or leave the nest in days. I did have to lean up and get the nozzle close to the entrances but it worked perfectly. I cannot recommend enough and am so glad I don't have to pay $$$ for a professional who likely would have recommended removing siding and soffit to reach the nest.
