The associated APP for smartphones shows a variety of parameters that are biometrically detected by the scale's electrical impedance capability. It's quite fascinating to see all the metrics. I have no way to know how precise the measurements are, but I'm sure they are good enough. For me in terms of best use case, I can definitely benefit from using the tracking feature which graphs changes by date to monitor change both positive and negative. Be warned, there is a funny noise from your phone when it registers a weight not compatible with the best range. I laugh every time I hear it. Cannot wait to hear a happy noise when I get down where I want to be. The scale provides two decimal points for precision. Do take the time to look through all the many metrics on the phone APP that provide information on BMI, Body Water Content, Body Fat Content, and much more.
