There is a strong magnetic closure on the door but I haven't had any problems opening the door. Mine came with three shelves rather than two, this isn't an issue for me as I'm using it for small collectables. It will accommodate CDs with room to spare both in the height and depth of the shelves. Would not offer much in the way of DVD or book storage. The top is flat so you can use that for a lamp or plant. I felt it was a little expensive but I'm not disappointed in the look or construction, worth it. It is light enough to move around I placed it on top of another cabinet.

A: Mine holds approximately 38 DVDs :)

Well constructed and really cute. It was packaged very well and arrived undamaged. There is a strong magnetic closure on the door but I haven't had any problems opening the door. Mine came with three shelves rather than two, this isn't an issue for me as I'm using it for small collectables. It will accommodate CDs with room to spare both in the height and depth of the shelves. Would not offer much in the way of DVD or book storage. The top is flat so you can use that for a lamp or plant. I felt it was a little expensive but I'm not disappointed in the look or construction, worth it. It is light enough to move around I placed it on top of another cabinet.
