I had been looking for a little more oomph for silver jewellery making. I already use a dremel versa-flame but for larger pieces over 1.5” across it wasn’t getting hot enough. I looked for ages getting overwhelmed with choice and then I decided on this one. So happy I did, it’s simple to use, feels solid, provides enough heat to sweat solder larger pieces, is comfy to hold and is aesthetically pleasing :). Yesterday I also noticed that an established jewellery maker with decades of skills and online tutor also has one of these on his work bench. One day I will get a Sievert professional torch or similar but for now this is perfect for my needs.
