Both of my parents developed diabetes in their 60s and 70s. We also have a history of having dry, papery skin that appears in our lower legs and ankles. Some even develop ulcers there. I’m getting older and noticing a thinning of my skin on my lower legs and feet. I had an ulcer there a few years back after surgery. I’ve been thinking of doing some Preemptive practices in taking better care of my legs and feet. I saw this product on desertcart and it ticked many of the boxes as far as ingredients are concerned, plus it is fragrance free, you get a lot of product, and at a very attractive price point. Also it said it could be used on the face and I was experiencing some dryness and irritation on my face from adapalene. I didn’t have high expectations for this but this product worked very well, and very quickly. My lower legs were papery and discolored. I put this on and an hour later I could see a significant difference, both on my legs and on my face. The discoloration is still there but the overall texture and feel of my skin is much improved with only two days of use. As I said before, I do not have diabetes and the condition of my skin was not severe - but this helped in ways other products did not. It seems to really get in and soften up that papery layer. The leg that had the surgery tends to show flakiness more than the other. I followed this up with a layer of healing ointment on that leg and it’s almost like nothing ever happened there. Really groovy. When I put this on my face it did sting on the dry irritated areas but it worked. I don’t find it to be greasy at all. (20%? 40%)** A: I looked at the ingredients in the product. It never gives a certain percentage of the urea. It is however the 11th ingredient listed. I am not sure how this would translate into a percentage. I am a diabetic for 41 years now and this is the best lotion I have ever used for moisturizing my "legs" before I put my prosthetic legs on for the day. I am a double below-the-knee amputee. Have been for 14 years now. This lotion does not cause any clogging of pores or make any wounds worse.
